Welcome to The Little Atelier.
My name is Missy. I spend the majority of my time being a mom to two toddlers and working full-time as a marketing manager in corporate America. Because this lifestyle usually means long hours making ‘decks’ in PowerPoint and constantly entertaining two little ones, my love for interior design and fashion has manifested itself in how I style my home and how I style myself and my family.
The word ‘atelier’ is French for workshop or studio, usually referring to that of an artist or designer. I've craved a place for creative expression, and The Little Atelier is a virtual workshop where I want to share with you how I combine a love for interior & clothing aesthetics with the practical needs of a family and the practical limitations of things like a budget and only having 24 hours in a day.

How we are making a ‘starter home’ work for our family
As we sit back and observe the currently unreasonable real estate market, we’ve been making adjustments to our cozy cape cod home we didn’t think we would still be living in almost five years and two kids later.

My personal home décor philosophy, tips, and product finds
I'm a wannabe interior designer, using this website as a bit of an outlet for that creative energy. I also love sharing a good deal, practical home décor item, or something that is just pretty to look at.

Working mom fashion
A love for clothes runs deep in my veins, so I can't resist talking about it. A great top that doubles as both a Microsoft Teams meeting uniform and a napkin for my toddler to smear blackberries all over? You will hear about it.

Musings about motherhood and working motherhood
I’ve found that I have a lot to say about being a mom, and about being a working mom specifically. There is so much that is challenging and amazing and insane about it all that we need to talk to each other about.

Perfection.
So cliché! I know. But I'm just trying to be real. I'm usually exhausted. And the house is probably a mess. But this is a workshop. And workshop implies 'work-in-progress.'
Thanks for joining me here!
